ºÚÁÏÉçÇø

Military spouses of active-duty, Reserve, or National Guard service members who have recently relocated to Stateside from UMGC in Asia or UMGC in Europe may qualify for a non-refundable tuition grant of $750.00.  Students who are eligible to apply will be contacted via email. 

Who May Qualify: 

To be invited to apply for the Military Spouse Relocation Grant (MSRG), you must meet the following criteria:

1. Be the spouse of an active-duty, Reserve, or National Guard service member.
   1. Sponsor’s ETS must be valid and up to date with the Residency department. 
2. Currently enrolled at t ºÚÁÏÉçÇø at least half-time.  
   1. Enrolled in the current term,  for at least 6 Undergraduate (UGRD) credits; 3 Graduate (GRAD) credits. 
   2. Minimum completion of 9 ºÚÁÏÉçÇø credits at the UGRD level, or minimum completion of 6 ºÚÁÏÉçÇø credits at the GRAD level. 
3. Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher as a UGRD student, or 3.0 or higher as a GRAD student.  
4. Recently relocated from UMGC in Asia or UMGC in Europe, with a campus update in  your MyUMGC portal. 
5. Have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with UMGC for the current aid year.

How It Works: 

If you meet the qualifications listed above, you may receive an email invitation to complete the online grant application. 

1. Invitations are sent 3 times per year before the Fall, Spring and Summer terms,
2. Invitations are typically sent about one month before each term begins.
