Cyber Service Academy (CSA)
Scholarship Program

A unique program that offers ºÚÁÏÉçÇø cybersecurity students an opportunity to earn full scholarships.

If you are enrolled in a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or doctoral program at University of Maryland Global Campus, you may be eligible for a full scholarship opportunity thanks to the Cyber Service Academy (CSA) scholarship program.

The Cyber Service Academy application for the 2026–2027 academic year is now open. For the most current information and to apply, please refer to the Ìý·É±ð²ú²õ¾±³Ù±ð.

About the Cyber Service Academy Scholarship

, including eligibility and service requirements, award renewal, and more. The highlights of the program are as follows:

  • Award amounts: Students selected as recipients will receive scholarships covering the full cost of tuition, course-required materials, required fees, and an annual stipend.
  • Award renewal: Additional years of scholarship awards are dependent upon satisfactory academic progress, internship performance (if applicable), and the availability of funds.
  • Internship experience: As part of the program, you will receive cyber-related internship experience during breaks in your studies throughout your time as a student.
  • Service obligation: Recipients will be required to complete one year of service to the U.S. Department of Defense, upon graduation, for each year or partial year of the scholarship received. There is an option to fulfill this requirement through military service.

CSA Application Deadlines for 2026–2027 Academic Year

The application deadlines are as follows:

  • New Applicants:
    • Application Open: December 12, 2025
    • Application Closes: February 17, 2026 (Noon)
  • Returning Scholars:
    • Application Open: December 19, 2025
    • Application Closes: February 20, 2026 (Noon)
  • Retention Scholarship (for current federal employees or military servicemembers):
    • Application Open: Spring 2026

How to Apply

  • Visit the federal government's  webpage to complete the application form for your applicable scholarship (i.e. New Scholar Application, Returning Scholar Application, Retention Scholarship).
  • Complete and submit the supplemental materials listed in the application, following the required formatting standards and guidance.

Please allow sufficient time to complete the application, as it is very detailed and requires a significant amount of supplemental content, including a personal statement, resume, letter of reference, and possibly additional documentation.

This program is sponsored and administered by the federal government. The Center for Security Studies at t ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is the point of contact for students at t ºÚÁÏÉçÇø who wish to apply for this scholarship program.

UMGC has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency and as a Center of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence (CDFAE) by the DC3 Academic Cyber Curriculum Alliance.
