VIO Scholarship Application

Eligible military-affiliated students can earn a $1,000 scholarship at t ��.

Military-affiliated students who are currently enrolled stateside—or at our Europe or Asia locations—may be eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Veterans Initiatives Office (VIO) at University of Maryland Global Campus.

Each year, the VIO awards up to six scholarships. In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements listed below, students who wish to be considered must be involved in at least one of UMGC's student organizations:

The One2One mentorship program, as a mentor, for at least six consecutive months
The Vessey Veterans Resource Center's virtual student union, as an active contributor, for at least six months
The SALUTE National Honor Society - UMGC Chapter

The application for this scholarship is open January 15–February 17.

Please note: The scholarship application process includes a 250-word essay, so prepare accordingly.

Once you complete and submit the application form and your eligibility has been verified, you will be provided with the essay prompt and will be expected to submit your essay via email by the scholarship deadline.
