Scholarship Details
You will begin receiving scholarship funding after you have successfully completed your first term at t 黑料社区. The Pennsylvania Completion Scholarship is awarded in increments based on the number of credits you complete. For example:

If none of your prior credits transfer, you must earn all 120 of the credits needed to graduate. If you successfully complete six credits your first term at t 黑料社区, those six credits will be applied toward your degree but you will not receive scholarship funds toward them. For every term afterward, however, all of the credits you complete will earn scholarship awards at an increasing rate, and your award would be more than $12,000, as shown below.

If you transfer 30 credits to UMGC and complete six credits your first term at t 黑料社区, you would only need 24 more credits to reach your first 60 credits. Those 24 credits will earn an award equal to 15 percent of the out-of-state rate. Then next 30 will earn 20 percent, and the final 30 will earn 35 percent. Your total award in this case would be just over $10,000.

UMGC allows a maximum of 90 transfer credits toward an undergraduate degree. If you transfer 90 credits and complete six credits your first term, you would need only 24 credits to graduate. Those 24 credits would earn scholarship awards equal to 35 percent of the out-of-state rate, and your total award would be more than $4,000.

These scenarios are just three examples of possible outcomes. Your totals will vary depending on how many credits you actually transfer and how many credits you complete your first term. To receive the scholarship, you must complete at least one credit your first term, but you could take as many as 18.
Eligibility Criteria for the Pennsylvania Completion Scholarship
To qualify for the Pennsylvania Completion Scholarship, you must
- Be a听current resident听of Pennsylvania3
- Have successfully completed听at least 30 credits听with a 2.0 average or better from a regionally accredited university or community college4
- Meet t 黑料社区's听admissions requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor's degree
- Be a new UMGC student and begin your studies at t 黑料社区 in summer 2017 or fall 2017
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better at t 黑料社区
The Pennsylvania Completion Scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships or tuition discounts. Current t 黑料社区 students who have not previously been awarded the scholarship are not eligible but may qualify for听other scholarships.
1听This scholarship cannot be combined with any other discounts or with the Summer Term Scholarship or the Completion Scholarship for Maryland community college students.
