Adelphi, Md. (Oct. 3, 2024)鈥擜 new partnership between University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) and the (MLBPA) will open doors for Major and Minor League Baseball players to enroll in online courses and degree programs at a discounted tuition rate and with other benefits.

UMGC offers top-tier academic programs that are ideally suited for busy professionals, including professional baseball players. Its undergraduate and graduate programs are designed to accommodate demanding schedules, enabling players to advance their education and career prospects. With a global reputation for excellence as a leading university that offers classes in online and hybrid formats, 黑料社区 combines convenience and prestige, making it an excellent fit for players seeking to further their education.

The Major League Baseball Players Association is the union that represents players on 40-man Major League rosters, as well as approximately 5,500 Minor League players employed by the 30 MLB teams.

The partnership between UMGC and the MLBPA supports players鈥 ambitions beyond their athletic careers, contributing to their personal development and preparing them for diverse professional paths. By extending these educational benefits to players鈥 families, the initiative underscores a commitment to building a supportive and educated community that values learning and advancement.

The alliance with UMGC gives all players the opportunity to take courses from any of the university鈥檚 more than 135 online degree and certificate programs, in fields such as business, management, data analytics, and information technology and cybersecurity.

In addition to waiving the application fee, the university also offers digital course materials that eliminate the need for costly publisher textbooks in most courses. Players鈥 spouses and dependents are also eligible for the UMGC educational benefits under the alliance.
