University of Maryland Global Campus commemorated Veterans Day at a ceremony held at the university’s headquarters in Adelphi, Md. The Honorable Michael A. Jackson, Maryland state senator and chair of the Maryland Veterans Caucus (pictured above presenting a citation from the Maryland General Assembly to Maj. Gen. Lloyd “Milo” Miles (U.S. Army, Ret.), UMGC’s senior vice president of Global Military Operations, in recognition of the university’s 75th anniversary), provided keynote remarks, highlighting that the state of Maryland is home to 360,000 veterans with the most residing in Prince George’s County. “Every day that I work in the General Assembly it is my goal to better provide for those who serve our country and recognize the sacrifices that they have made,” said Sen.
